At Meridian, patient privacy is very important to us. We will do all we can to protect your health records. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) sets forth privacy and security standards for any entity that uses or discloses protected health information.
Compliance is an organization wide obligation for Meridian requiring procedural standards and business practices that protect the privacy and security of patient/client information. We have implemented policies, processes and procedures designed to ensure compliance with the Privacy standards and monitor them for compliance and effectiveness.
Meridian requires all personnel with access to patient/client information to be knowledgeable in the privacy requirements of HIPAA. We provide a secure method for communicating PHI (Patient Health Information) electronically and we have user specific logins for employees. If you provide us with personal information, we will restrict its use to the purposes expressed where it was collected. We will not transmit or disclose this information outside of Meridian.
